Bla-bla-bla is a comic converted into a pavilion of ephemeral architecture for the 2024 Comic Fair, where a story is written inside its vignettes through the lives of its characters. Bla-bla-bla are the conversations between the people in this story; some bright neon bubbles become a symbol and call of an architecture that is a meeting place.
The pavilion is a wooden box with an open front and a closed front. In both cases, the edges of the vignetting are the supporting structure. Thus, while in the open part an interior space is generated where the program of needs is resolved - made up of a customer service area, a storage chest, a television and a small seating area -, the exterior part makes works also as a photocall.
The construction is made using pine wood slats and OSB boards, with a Delft blue water-based paint finish that emphasizes the universe of color and fantasy typical of this fair, but maintaining the texture and feel of the wood. The modulation of the pavilion responds to the standardized measurements of the boards, so that cuts are simplified. Furthermore, the vignette modules are built independently in the workshop, so that in the context of the fair only joints are made using screws. At the language level, this fact is emphasized by the milling of the wooden edges in the vertical joints between modules, a detail that reminds us that the pavilion is removable and reusable.
