‘El bosc com a refugi’ is a headline that hides an entire thought that revolves around the complexity of the forest as a natural ecosystem, as a refuge, as the origin of life and even as a space of care and resistance in a context really hostile. Each collaboration in this small book is a tree in this immense forest.
Thus, in terms of the physical object, the resistance that lies between the trees of this forest is presented as a handmade pamphlet-type book, with that wire binding solution that gives place to a publication of graphic resources typical of the fanzines that always offered a critical vision of power to spread ideas at low cost. The free layout of the interior, of the titles and texts that draw our attention in different positions and sizes, speaks to us of that irregularity of the organic and at the same time of that freedom of expression of each of the publication's collaborations, like everything. unique and diverse tree from a forest.
And in accordance with this critical and conscious attitude towards nature, the llibret is also printed on sustainable materials that have had the least possible environmental impact and combines recycled paper with natural impurities and green paper - a clear reference to the forest -, both FSC certified and whose tones, textures and manufacturing processes speak directly to us about nature and make the reading experience inseparable from the topic being addressed.
In short, this publication is the result of a celebration that honors nature from a sustainable and vindictive perspective and that, at the same time, is a cry that seeks to denounce an increasingly unsustainable, destructive and toxic system not only for society. , but for life in general. And this is a message that is reinforced by the graphic and editorial resources used in its design and layout.
